2. to look down on, to bemean, to make disparaging remarks, to slight, to underestimate, to underrate.

เขาปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของเขาโดยประมาท He was remiss in the discharge of his duty. อย่าไปประมาทความสามารถของเขา Do not underestimate (Do not underrate, Do not slight) his abilities.
